Friday, July 6, Stage Six - Épernay / MetzStage position: 182nd Overall race position: 174th Overall team position: 22nd David Millar limped home in 182nd place today after being involved in the what he described as the 'scariest crash he'd ever been in'. He accompanied team mate and Giro d'Italia winner Rhyder Hesjedal over the line on the 205km stage across northern France. News didn't get any better for the team who slipped into last place overall. Daily update: Thursday, July 5, Stage Five - Rouen Saint-QuentinStage position: 19th Overall race position: 156th Overall team position: 19th Today's 196km stage started in medieval Rouen, the town of a hundred spires and ends 196km later in France's sportiest town as voted by l'Equipe magazine Saint-Quentin. A better performance from the Scot today crossing the line in the top 20 but it did little to improve his overall race position though. Germany's Andre Greipel wins back to back stages. Daily update: Wednesday, July 4, Stage Four - Abbeville /RouenItStage position: 155th Overall race position: 156th Overall team position: 19th It was back on the flat for today's 214km stage along the Normandy coast. Lots of Scottish links to this stage with the race passing through St Valery liberated by the 51st Highland Division in 1944. Millar improved his stage position to 171st from yesterday but overall dropped down the field to 159th, 8mins 02secs behind leader Fabian Cancellara. Another performance like this tomorrow and the Scot will be glad to see the back of Belgium. Better news for his team though they stay in the hunt just 23 seconds off the lead in fifth place.
