Actually no. I seem to remember it being a bit of a blast at the time. Plenty of other clubs have been badly run while the owner takes a punt that a few years of last 16 champions league places will sort out their debt. Leeds Utd, Parma, Valencia etc.
What Fred the shred did with ABN Amro was pay top dollar for a one-eyed 31yr old centre forward with two broken legs.
Moving on to Craig Whyte he bought a club he knew was broke and the then simply stopped paying the bills altogether. I hear the new giant screens haven't been paid for either. |
