This new project from the OECD's Local Economic and Employment Development team for 2012 aims to support local and national governments to source more relevant economic intelligence, helping them to design better economic development strategies.

To be successful in the in the current challenging economic climate it is more important then ever that policies are informed by evidence on current economic performance, drivers and enablers of change, existing barriers to development, and policy gaps.
